How is the coated facade maintained and cared for?
The finished coating is weather-resistant and easy to care for. Regular visual inspection and gentle cleaning maintain function and appearance over the service life.
Is the coating easy to care for?
Yes. The top coat is abrasion-resistant, UV- and weather-resistant and vapour-permeable, and withstands atmospheric influences including acid rain.
How is the facade cleaned?
Gently with water, at low pressure if needed. Aggressive cleaners, solvents or harsh mechanical methods must be avoided.
What to do in case of damage?
Local damage is cleaned, the substrate is checked as in Chapter 10, and the affected area is re-coated in the system build-up (primer, functional layer, top coat).
At what intervals should it be checked?
A regular visual inspection of the facade — especially after severe weather — is recommended in order to detect damage early.
