How is the system applied?
The system is applied in three steps: primer, functional layer and top coat — each supplied ready to use, thoroughly mixed before use and applied under the specified conditions.
In which order is it applied?
First the primer ECB BASIC B, then the functional layer BUILD and finally the top coat ECO OUTSIDE. Each layer must dry sufficiently before the next. The functional layer is applied in two passes of 0.5 mm (together 1.0 mm).
How are the products prepared?
All products are supplied ready to use. Before use, thoroughly mix the entire container contents; thinning is not intended.
What is it applied with?
Preferably with an airless sprayer (remove the filter beforehand, nozzle pressure max. 120 bar), alternatively with brush or roller (bristle length 8–14 mm). Details on airless application in Chapter 12.
When can the next coat follow?
A further coat is possible once the surface is touch-dry after approx. 2 hours (overcoatable without sanding). Curing takes about 24 hours per layer.
