Chapter 12 · Airless
What must be observed for airless application?
Airless spraying is the preferred application method for all three layers. The removed filter, the limited nozzle pressure and immediate cleaning with water are decisive.
Why airless?
Airless spraying applies the ready-to-use coatings evenly and economically — especially on larger facade areas. Brush and roller are possible as an alternative.
What must be set on the equipment?
The filter must be removed before application (the coating contains ceramic nanospheres). The nozzle pressure must be limited to a maximum of 120 bar.
What must be observed when spraying?
Even distance and path overlap to achieve a homogeneous layer thickness; maintain the intended thickness per layer (functional layer in 2 passes of 0.5 mm; see Chapter 05).
How is the equipment cleaned?
Immediately after use with water — the products are water-thinnable. Dried material is difficult to remove.
