Chapter 13 · Quality assurance

How is execution quality assured?

Quality arises from tested prerequisites, controlled application and traceable documentation. This chapter summarises the essential control points.

What is checked before starting?

The substrate (strength, cleanliness, moisture) and the application conditions (temperature, humidity, weather) in accordance with Chapters 10 and 11.

What is monitored during execution?

The correct layer sequence, the consumption per layer and area, compliance with the intended thickness per layer, and drying before the next coat is applied.

How is the execution documented?

By recording the substrate and weather conditions, the batches used, the consumption quantities and the application steps per area.

How do you recognise a clean result?

Even, closed layers without runs, defects or thin spots; a homogeneous, matt-white surface of the top coat.
